Sunlit Malibu canyon home with olive trees and ocean view at golden hour
Malibu Canyon · Est. 2015

Rewrite your story
in Los Angeles.

An intimate, evidence-based recovery sanctuary set into the Malibu canyon. Ten guests. Twelve clinicians. A full continuum from medical detox through alumni — built around your life, not the other way around.

A different kind of rehab in Los Angeles.

We built Rehab in LA because we were tired of two options: clinical treatment centers that felt like hospitals, and destination spas that skipped the medicine. Here you get both — a real, clinical program in a home you'd actually want to live in.

The Continuum

Six stages. One uninterrupted path.

01 / Detox

Medical Detox

Board-certified addictionologists and 24-hour nursing supervise a comfortable, medically managed withdrawal — private room, private bath, no shared quarters.

5–10 days
02 / Residential

Residential Treatment

Live on-property while you rebuild. Individual therapy 5×/week, group work, psychiatry, wellness, family sessions — all within a 10-guest home.

30–90 days
03 / PHP

Partial Hospitalization

Six hours of programming daily, five days a week, while stepping into our sober-living residence for the evenings. The bridge back to life.

2–6 weeks
04 / IOP

Intensive Outpatient

Three group sessions per week plus individual therapy. Return to work, parenting, or school with clinical scaffolding and accountability.

8–12 weeks
05 / Sober Living

Structured Sober Living

A separate residence in a walkable Westside neighborhood — house meetings, drug testing, employment support, community. As long as you need.

Open-ended
06 / Alumni

The Alumni Community

Free for life. Weekly alumni dinners, an annual retreat, monthly check-ins with your primary therapist, and a private community app.

Lifetime
— / Family

Family Program

A four-day intensive for families every month — education, guided conversation, and repair work led by two family systems therapists.

Monthly · No cost
— / Aftercare

Continuing Care

Personalized aftercare planning starts your first week. Warm handoffs to outpatient therapists, sober companions, psychiatrists — nationwide.

The Home

Built like a home, run like a hospital.

Recovery is easier when the space around you is beautiful and calm. Our residence is a private Malibu-canyon home — stucco walls, olive trees, a lap pool, and an unbroken view of the Pacific. No fluorescent lights, no institutional carpet, no shared bathrooms.

Private guest room with Noguchi lamp, oak nightstand and cream linen bedding

Private rooms. Private baths.

Every guest has their own room. Not because we're precious about it — because sleep, dignity, and a door you can close are the foundation of the work. Linen bedding is changed every three days. Housekeeping five times a week. In-room aromatherapy on request.

Long oak dining table set with ceramic bowls of figs and citrus, ocean view

Chef-prepared. Whole-food.

Three meals a day, cooked to order by a former Bestia line cook. Our menu leans Mediterranean and California — olive oil, wild fish, seasonal produce from the Malibu Farmers Market. Nutrition therapy weekly with a registered dietitian. All food restrictions accommodated.

Lap pool at dusk with paper lanterns strung between olive trees

Movement. Not fitness.

Sunrise yoga on the terrace. Ocean-view breathwork. Trail hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains. A quiet lap pool. Twice-weekly acupuncture and massage. Not because these things cure addiction — because your body has been through it too, and it deserves care.

Clinical

The medicine is serious.

Beautiful surroundings don't treat addiction. Evidence-based clinical work does. Every therapist on our team is a licensed clinician with at least one substance-use specialty. Our clinical director holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from PGSP-Stanford.

I'd been to three other treatment centers before Rehab in LA. This was the first one that felt like it was actually built for adults. I met my primary therapist on day two and still see her, eighteen months later. The food alone would have been reason to stay another month.

I'm a professional and I couldn't disappear for three months. They built me a program: two weeks of detox on-property, then residential for four weeks, then straight into their PHP with sober living. I never lost a client. My family never lost me.

My twenty-two-year-old daughter came here after two overdoses. What I want other parents to know: the family program is real. They didn't just treat her, they taught us how to be her family again. She's coming up on a year clean.

Small enough that I got to know every single person in the house. Big enough that I had a real clinical team, not just a counselor with a notebook. The alumni dinners still get me out of the house every Thursday. Best decision I ever made.

I'd built up an entire mythology about how detox would feel. It was still hard, but I had a nurse checking on me every two hours the first three days and I never felt unsafe. The doctor was in on day one and adjusted my meds twice that week.

What made this place different: my therapist read my file. Really read it. Nobody asked me to tell my story from the beginning to five different intake staff. The continuity of care from detox all the way through alumni was seamless.
